Despite years of policy debacle and dictatorship, writes Ryan McMaken, Chile has taken a turn toward liberalism that has gone largely unnoticed. Unlike many Latin American countries, Chile is not notable for its strongman politics (like Venezuela) or its ongoing guerilla wars (like Colombia), but is rather a place where people prefer to get on with the business of doing business.
