Tucker Speaking on IP

November 18, 2009 4:31 PM by Briggs Armstrong

Jeffrey Tucker will be giving a lecture on the evils of Intellectual Property this afternoon at Auburn University. He will be in the Student Center Room 2107 from 5:30-6:30. This should be an exciting event for those who are able to make it on such short notice.

Here is Jeffrey Tucker's lecture from yesterday evening.

Spinning GM's Wheels

Sixty Percent Good for the Country

I need to put on a hat just so I can take it off to GM's spin doctors. They are clearly among the best in the world. What other company can claim that losing $1.2 billion in a mere 3 months while planning to use government money to repay a government "loan" is a sign of a healthy and recovering enterprise? New Mises Book Club

November 16, 2009 12:29 PM by Briggs Armstrong

SS468.jpgThe Mises Institute has launched a new Mises Book Club in the Community section. This club is a great place for readers to discuss what they are reading and learn about new books. It is mostly user generated, meaning that anyone is free to add a book to the media page or to start a discussion about a book they are reading or have read. This new resource will continue to grow and become more useful as more people join and participate! This should be a fantastic place to interact with fellow Austrians and to discuss the hundreds of books that are available in the literature section. Members can even create a wiki about their favorite books.

Note: If anyone would like to create a new template for the Mises Book Club, it would be greatly appreciated!
