The Driver Audio CD -- yippee!

Here is an audio sample that covers the opening chapter in which a free-silver movement of unemployed social reformers makes its way on a march to Washington.

  • Dammit, I made to go myself through the pains of reading the book. I should have waited.
Now before I start other Garet Garrett books, are there any other book in the cue for being recorded as audiobooks?

  • We hope to have them all if we can raise the money -- so the plans are there but we need to see what happens.

  • Anyone interested in making a tax-deductible charitable gift to make other Garrett books available in audio format should contact me. Once we receive enough for another book, we will commission it.

Jeff, something you might want to blog about:

    http://www.wired.com/culture/lifestyle/news/2008/05/modern_moonshine

"A five- or six-hundred-gallon outfit wasn't worth wasting time on," he says. "I'd go back to my vehicle, get the C4 explosives and blasting caps, and I'd blow it up. There were only so many of us, and only so much time."

    Quite shocking, to me.

  • Very cool!

Any shot these will be released at any point for free on Mises.org, as the Rothbardian audiobooks are currently being released?

  • I should add that although I have nothing against Dr. Lilley's voice, I have a preference for Mr. Riggenbach's voice.

    Respectfully,

  • Pardon me, but what is an MP3 CD?

  • A data CD with MP3 files on it.
Most MP3 players can play them as well as Red Book audio CDs.

  • Ad Publishing, a small publishing company based in Denmark, of all places, have just published a completely new version of The Driver, by Garet Garrett. As great believers in hard currency and libertarian ideals, this book was an ideal choice.
