Easy Money, Easy Lies
Strange how campaign season leads to the usual political drama over taxes. Republicans have learned the hard way that they should never raise them, at least not in ways that are noticeable. They accuse Democrats of plotting secret increases. The Democrats deny it but draw attention to mounting debt and hint that solving the problem will require serious measures. These serious measures might involve sacrifice. The voters are suspicious. And so the battle lines are drawn.
This observation is prompted by the disgusting fact that President Bush is running around the country saying that he will never raise taxes. Meanwhile, he is one of the greatest spenders in history. When it comes to his war, he will spend into oblivion. He has been the same on domestic spending too, but for a few high-profile cases of opposing programs that benefit his political enemies.
If this were the 19th century, the debate and drama would make sense. Some politicians believe that the public's money is up for grabs. Others think that the people ought to keep their own. So it was. FULL ARTICLE

Great article! I love articles like this that are simple to read and yet contain a large amount of critical information. These types of articles are the best ones to share with others that don't have a lot of economic interest or knowledge.

. Who could REALLY believe that Leviathan would permit a revolucion a la Ron Paul? Pigs CAN fly...they have Blackhawks now...but I can not see that Ron has a snowball's chance in hell of winning. Then the whole issue of electronic voting and 'hackability of same. The House has rigged the system yet we are still blindly pulling the pokie arm...

Gregin,
"...but I can not see that Ron has a snowball's chance in hell of winning."
The system being what it is, you may be right. However, I will relay to you a story that a friend told a group of us just the other night. If what he said was historically inaccurate, please let me know.
He had an ancestor who moved from the Massasetts Bay Colony to Rhode Island so that he could promote religious freedom. He was not able to bring his dream to fruition during the course of his lifetime. However, a 100 years later Rhode Island played an important role in the incorporation of religious freedom into the Constitution. Our friend told us that the moral of the story is that one might not see the fruits of one's labor in one's lifetime, but that doesn't mean that the seeds that were planted early on won't germinate and grow at some point in the future.
When you consider the speed at which information is now capable of traveling, I doubt very much that we will have to wait as long to see the seeds that were planted by the Ron Paul campaign come to fruition!
THE END! :)

In rhyme: Sleazy money, Sleazy lies!
Not only is the money easy (it is just printed up) but it enters the system through the hands of the insular and partisan minions which is a sleazy way to do things and sleazy things are done with it.
When the whole system of politicians (except for Ron Paul), and the propagada machine of the media, and the propagandized institutions of education accept what they are told without question it is easy to lie, but piling lies and misinformation high upon other lies and misinformation is sleazy like the whisperings of the perverse.
