My New Year's Wish For The Movement
I know it's a hopeless fantasy, but I can dream, can't I? My devout wish for the libertarian movement, and for the state of my own blood pressure, is for a whole year's moratorium on the following:

The absolute failure of every other method convinces me that establishing a new libertarian country is the only hope of obtaining freedom. Perhaps it won't happen in my lifetime, but I don't foresee anything better happening before that.

The question of creating change involves creativity. Having done the LP thing on the local level for some years, the frontal assault on the well fortified gate will always have limited results.
We must wake up to the reality that a silly, crude cartoon -- South Park -- has done as much (if not more) to undermine the credibility of big government and the current two party regime among the young masses. The collectivists understood that a spoonful of sugar makes the poison go down easily, and have succeeded in Hollywood, etc.. We must get to work doing the same with what is real medicine. The LP is important, but it must be complemented with less obvious proselytizing that does not come at you as pure politics. It must be meaningful, entertaining -- not to the intellectually inclined "us", but to the masses.
