The sweatshirt, a wonderful gift

December 7, 2006 8:47 PM by Jim Fedako (Archive)

Ever wonder how well known the Mises Institute is in your community? You can commission a survey or call local phone numbers at random, or you can simply wear a Mises Institute sweatshirt while attending an event, shopping at the mall, or jogging down the path. It seems that just about every time I sport my sweatshirt, someone approaches me to talk about the Institute. I have found that eyes are drawn to the logo as people try to figure out what school, or school of thought, I call home. It's an activity a lot of us engage in - trying to figure out what name is on the sweatshirt someone else is wearing.

Besides being a very comfortable sweatshirt, wearing it let's me know that I'm not alone, and that the ideas and ideal of Liberty are in the hearts of many that I pass everyday. It's really a great Christmas gift for yourself or someone you love. Wear it and be ready to talk shop with fellow Misesians.

I would love to wear a Mises sweatshirt, but I have long arms and so require a tall size.

I ordered one today and an austrian economist t-shirt pack. I picked the large size and hope it will fit.

My wife wears one all the time when she gets me to go to the mall. A lot of odd looks and a few questions.
