Economics in One Lesson, by Henry Hazlitt, full text in PDF in the Study Guide

To see the problem as a whole, and not in fragments: that is the goal of economic science.

This was the first book on Economics I read after college and was worth every second it took to do it (which wasn't man as the book is fairly short).

Should have double check my post before posting...It was fortunately an Economics book, not a Grammar book!

I can't say anything too superlative about this book, although I didn't come across it myself unti I was well underway with Mises.

My thought is that it ought to be used as an elementary-school READING book (and thereby serve to enable students, to some degree, to question many of the things they're told by adults and through media background propaganda).

This URL no longer works, and I've been recommending it all over the place. What has happened?

Here is a link to an html version of EIOL.
The Mises site you link has a pdf version of The Mainspring of Human Progress, which is another excellent introduction to free market economics.

Quite a library they've got at Mises. Thanks for the link.

Yeah, they mentioned somewhere they had to take it down because the material is still copyrighted.

Too bad about the copyright problem, as it's a bit of a tragedy to not have this book available as a PDF directly from Mises.org.

Perhaps an HTTP redirect could be put in place to ensure the original URL at least directs the visitor to a useful resource such as the book's page in the Mises Shop? There must be a ton of inbound links still referencing http://mises.org/books/onelesson.pdf

Searching for a substitute online, this is the best-quality PDF that I could find:

Is the study guide still available anywhere? I haven't been able to find one.
