That WSJ piece
Many people have written to ask about the response to that WSJ article on the Mises Institute. The response has been fabulous, with thrilled supporters and happy students and faculty, not to mention blog links (such as this, this, this, and this).
Obviously, the Mises Institute has never sought this kind of attention. If it were an institutional priority to maximize citations in prestige venues, the editorial policy here would be very different indeed. What we have here is a very thoughtful journalist who saw that something very special was going on here and wanted to report on it. If it garners more attention for the writers and scholars here, and energizes the students who come to our offices, it's all to the good.

I really enjoyed this story, Jeff. It reminded me of the early days of the Institute, when it was housed in one office (right next to mine) in Tach Hall, then expanded to the building behind the stadium... and just kept growing. Those were exciting times, and the Institute's come so far, these are still exciting times! It's really great that the WSJ would do such a nice piece.
