Join the Intellectual Battle of 2006
What a great year this has been for the Mises Institute! New books, productive conferences, more students than ever, and new ways to get the message out, all to advance the cause of economic freedom in academia and public life. As we look forward to a super-productive 2006, with more programs and outreach of all sorts, can we count on your support? The Mises Institute is funded entirely by private donations from readers like you who make it all possible. FULL ARTICLE

What can i say to you? Maybe the only thing is that your work in the futur is going to be seen like the only light in the dark night of this time.

Thanks for yet another great year! especially last summer's lecture series were fantastic... (I have yet to get me one of them cool T-shirts)
being a poor student I can't really afford any donations now (I reserved this year's donation for the great WeekendInterviewShow.com), but I hope I'm doing my part by being the editor of the main Dutch libertarian website and by my academic work which I hope will eventually contribute something to some aspects of libertarianism and Austrian Economics.

For Thanksgiving, one of the things I was and am grateful for is the LvMI, which has provided a beacon of light, of intellectual independence, of strength, and of love of freedom, liberty, and property rights.
As the end of the year approaches, I'm going to try to figure out what's doable for me, and do it. I think for a lot of people might think that very small contributions are meaningless. Probably, a lot of students feel this way. However, think of how many people feel that way? How many students who visit the LvMI may feel that way? It could be that many thousands of students feel that way. Now if they all contributed, say, $10, that multiplies. I encourage those reading to donate however much they feel comfortable with, even if it's a small amount.

I think that the Mises Institute should charge for its services and publications.
This appeal to charity is misleading.

Fernando, the Mises Institute would not exist on a for-profit basis, I can assure you. The model of the non-profit dates to the ancient world and is the ideal for an organization dedicated to research and education in the realm of ideas.
