Symposium on Kirk

October 11, 2005 12:07 PM by Mises.org Updates (Archive)

Russell Kirk is a problematic figure for Austrians and libertarians, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to find a soft spot in one’s heart for a man whose fiction features bureaucrats and political functionaries who meet sticky ends for refusing to leave people alone.

Those living in or near Montgomery may be interested in attending an upcoming symposium on Kirk, October 27, hosted by Faulkner University. Presentations by Bradley Birzer (Hillsdale College) and members of the Faulkner faculty will focus on the non-economic, non-political areas of Kirk’s thought. More information about the symposium can be found here.
