    A disturbing comment by Roberts in the Washington Post today may reveal that he, a supposed conservative on these sorts of things, may have an absurdly expansive view of the clause to further culturally conservative goals:

    "Some might question whether encouraging homemakers to become lawyers contributes to the common good, but I suppose that is for the judges to decide."

    What's there for the judges to decide here? That homemakers shouldn't be allowed to become lawyers???? For once, I truly hope that the blogs make hay out of this one.
