How many of you out there do what I do when I get them in change: immediatly give them back with a no-thank-you-look of indignation. When eaten by small children they, I mean their non-zinc-plug antecedents, used to simply pass through without harm. Now they partially disolve leaving sharp little hooks that can cause internal bleeding. The only place a penny looks good, and now for how many years (?), is on an earnings report from your favorite investment! For me, at least, getting them in change is like being offered a case of lice or fleas! Not even nature has succeeded in producing over 600 varieties of these pests!
