Am I missing something, but didn't Mises object to Wieser’s value and imputation theory? In addition, I find it interesting, if not ironic, that the Wieser Memorial Lecture is being given by Professor Bostaph, who recently wrote an excellent article (QJAE, summer 2003) critical, and I believe rightly so, of Wieser’s value and imputation theory and views on economic calculation.
With this said, it’s great to see Rothbard’s Man, Economy, and State translated into and published in yet another language. It is also great to see a Misesian scholar the stature of Professor Hülsmann giving the Cuhel Memorial Lecture, since Cuhel’s demonstration of the ordinal (and not cardinal) nature of value, was, importantly, incorporated by Mises into his value theory.
