What kind of information would be requested on job market applications? There is no way to know apart from real market experience. Some questions would be considered invasive while other questions would be seen as essential. It would be up to the market, not the government, to decide. [MORE]

  • Erich, I owe you a drink. I paraphrased your article to my boss, who likes to laugh at me for being a "loony libetarian." After I put a hypothetical situation to him involving our real-life work relationship, he wasn't laughing anymore. He was listening and nodding and saying things like "I hadn't thought of it that way before." Hooray!
