Bruce Caldwell's new biography of Hayek adopts a sensible strategy for coping with a formidable task, writes David Gordon. When Caldwell turns to the work of Hayek himself, he selects important topics, has much of value to say about them, but fails to get matters quite right.   • Does anyone know where Hayek's 1981 talk, "The Flow of Goods and Services" is published? I suppose Caldwell's book probably mentions it, but I don't have it.

  • It has not yet been published, although it has been translated to English. Copies have been circulating privately among some scholars, but it is not generally available.
