That’s excellent. If it were cheaper I would buy it right now but reading backlog is so large, I’ll buy it later. Thanks, though.
Drop the price!!
$10 is too much.
You are inviting a black Market for bootleg Kindle books by putting price of a book available for free download on mises website as $9.99.
If there are labor costs involved, call for volunteers and we will help, but $1.99 for every major Mises book will be the most optimum price(that is if there are no other Amazon costs involved).
Too much?? Everyone we consulted said that was ridiculously low. In any case, anyone is more than welcome to go to the literature tab and get it for free.
Creating these kindles is no small feat (sorry but it does involve professionals), and the margins are preposterous, so unless we can make it break even, we can’t do it.
As for black markets, bring ‘em on.
You would post this after I just bought a hardcopy of the Scholar’s edition for $60. I feel exploited, and this is why socialism must exist! (*tongue in cheek*)
When I saw $9.99…my first thought was:
“My goodness, that’s cheap!”
Well done.
Yeah, it is totally cheap.
When the initial complaint over price disappears, you’ll see what having it on a Kindle is worth — a lot.
$9.99? The current Amazon price says $20.00 for the kindle edition.
Personally, I prefer hard-copy. My buddy has a Kindle, and it is pretty cool and all. But, there is nothing like having your own library with real books. All of the books you have read in life, all setting in their shelf just waiting for one of your friend’s eyes. I would pay $40 for a copy of ‘Human Action’ and would never regret it (even though it is free on the internet). Stop complaining about the price, the Kindle has not caught on and has been operating in the negative since its introduction. Most publishers have not even been able to really transform to digital and make it profitable. Be happy with what you get if that is your chosen medium of reading. You made the sacrifice to buy that memory stick with a flatscreen. So, you must bear the consequences of keeping it stored with your prefered reading material. Me, I’ll just keep buying books and going to the library.
