That almost looks like a snowman on that 100 trillion dollar bill. Its funny but I bet a snowman would last longer in Zimbabwe than Zimbabwe’s own currency will.
We will be seeing something like that very soon here in the United States. The Fed has officially said that they are now, openly engaging in “quantitative easing” or if you like, monetizing the debt. Its only a matter of time now.
Manuel, becoming a trillion wasn’t that hard now was it? If only comrade Bernanke would make us all multi trillionaires via printing press we would finally have the prosperity we all deserve and everyone could quit their jobs and never produce a thing again.
Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner have a nice gift for President Barack Obama!
It doesn’t need gift wrapped.
How cheap are these economic terrorists, anyway? You would think that they could afford something more valuable with all of the dollars that they are printing up and pumping into the balloon!
Maybe the Zimbabwe dollar will be worth relatively more very soon! That explains the gift! It will be relatively more valuable than the dollar. Enjoy your gift Mr. President and be sure to share it with the members of the inner circle of the unConstitutional coup!
No sooner than i got my Zimbabwe 100 Trillion Dollar Note (eBay) for $12, I see them going Ten for $20. Or $2 each.
Anyhow the serial number on the note is slightly above 250,000. If the serial numbers run consecutively it must mean that there is at least 250,000 X 100 Trillion in circulation. (in 100 trillion notes only)
250,000 X 100 Trillion is what? No matter, as I suspect by Keynesian standards, that country is rich beyond anyones wildest dreams, and math would only get in the way of all the prosperity.
However $2 X 250,000 gives us a total of Half a Million US Dollars. Likely not enough to run half of most US government programs for half a day.
Zimbabwe, has a population of nearly 13,000,000 thats about 100 Trillion for every 52nd person. That number of course doesn’t account for all the hundreds of trillions in lesser Notes in circulation.
If all that wealth was distributed evenly…
That is if all 250,000 of those 100 trillion dollar notes were distributed evenly…
Every 52nd person in Zimbabwe would have around $2US…
Zimbabwe might be on to something. If they keep upping the ante, eventually, the ridiculously high bills will generate value throughout the world as a novelty item.
It’s brilliant. They’re making a full circle, from commodity, to money, to fiat currency, to pretty kindling, BACK to commodity. GO ZIMBABWE.
You all better watch out and hang on to those notes as the Reserve Bank begins to reduce the money supply at just precisely the right time avoid excess inflation, just like the U.S. Fed is planning to do.
Actually, I think it would be fun to make a small exhibit of the most ridiculous cases of inflation at the Institute.
When I’m back to Hungary (in a few months), I’ll try to get an 1946 pengÅ‘ banknote for you, a hundred million trillion one or something like that. Should still be a few available at some antiquarians.

And with my donation, the institute can buy all of Alabama and eliminate its state. Thank you Mugabe for making this happen. You are a hero.
Is that the third or fourth version of the Zimbabwe dollar?
Hey, I have one of those too. (A whopping $17 off of EBay…) Maybe I can buy Georgia and we’ll have one large stateless area. Yes! Thank you Mugabe!

Dustin, yeah, I got mine for $9 on eBay from a guy in Germany.
I have one of these as well. I am hoping to collect another one but with Barack’s picture instead of a pile of rocks and a buffalo.

That Hundred Trillion Dollar bill will look fabulous with President Obama’s picture!
Then again, it’d be high irony to have a picture of Murray Rothbard on the note. Ha!
Is it too late to go back to bartering?
Ha! You’re a fool, Manuel! I’m holding out for the quadrillion dollar bill… it should be available soon.
Wow. Manuel, how many sticks of gum does that fine piece of fiat buy?

Where’s Gono?
Why doesn’t Obama fire Tim Geithner and appoint Gono – at least Gono has been through this before!

If the state is gona print money at this speed, it is not difficult to see the US dollar note in big figure

anybody know who printed these ‘notes’?
was it De La Rue?
