No, it is not in the store yet. It is making us crazy too. We expect it within the week, and it really could be any time.
In the meantime, have a look at this new edition, fully bookmarked with fantastic detail. Browse it for a few days while we wait and wait. I hope to have good news in the coming days.

Just wondering, how is it different to the old edition?
some typos fixed, and a wonderful new introduction by Salerno that takes a completely new look.
Mr. Tucker,
Why not keep the PDF file of the 2004 first edition of the Scholar’s Edition of Man, Economy, and State with Power and Market on-line as well? (As I understand it, it has now simply been replaced.) Said edition contains a different introduction (by Joseph R. Stromberg), which is quite valuable by itself.
Aaahhh! I thought the blog title meant it was here. One question: will this be in paperback at some point? Most people prefer hardbacks I know but I prefer paperbacks!
You know what? 10 mins after I posted this, the UPS guy arrived with a bunch of books! the real thing! It is stunning, wow wow. Anyway, they should soon be in the store, as in a day or two.
The book is really too big for paperbacking. The other paperback we did cost big bucks and it is still a bit iffy after one read. Not sure paper can really hold this much.
Is the pagination the same, despite the typo corrections?
Love the new cover, BTW. I wish casewrap books were more popular (do they cost more to manufacture, perhaps?).
pagination same. The cover is incredible, way better in real life than the picture. The case wrapping is so clearly and obviously the way to go. It is a mystery to me why more publishers don’t use it. But then big publishers are really really behind the times – massive bureaucracies that live and breath off their government granted monopolistic privilege to loot authors of their work and hold them in bondage for 100 years.
I prefer MES to Human Action but that’s just me… nice diagrams
“Typically, in order to produce a ham sandwich
for Jones in his armchair, it is necessary for his wife to
expend energy in unwrapping the bread, slicing the ham, placing
the ham between bread slices, and carrying it to Jones.”
lol, Murray
Thank you. You’re right. 1,000 plus pages probably is too big for paperback! I like the cover. I can’t wait till it’s in stock.
Dear Jeffrey
It’s fantastic. But at the same time I’m disappointed that for a “scholar” edition the original MES has not been reconstructed by waving together the last chapter of MES with P&M following the original manuscript of Murray + additions he made for publishing what had to be left out of the first printing of MES as P&M.
I’m actually fighting a big sickness and English is not my mother tongue, nevertheless, should you consider for the next printing to consider such an endeavor, I would be happy and proud to come to Auburn and contribute to the work.
All the best from France
And so many thanks for the incredible and vital work yourself and the Mises Institute are contributing to the world.
(And thanks for your wonderful article of yesterday: I love elegance!)
Umm, I’m not sure what you mean but this does what you are suggesting. However, we did retain the original last chapter to MES, because there was no sense in cutting anything. So it has all of MES and all of PM.
Well, this is a surprise!

there you go!
The article referenced below needs to be fixed:

“Most economists question the Austrian explanation because it completely ignores the possibility of an extended recession.”
Thank you for the quick postings Jeff! I’ve been waiting for this to come in. Just placed an order….
so you never really know how a book is going to look until you actually hold the thing. There are oohs and awes all around. Actually, I do think this is the finest book we’ve ever produced. Makes one very proud! The cover has texture to it, and the images are gorgeous. Murray loved chess! and the book is huge but not too heavy, and when you open it, it is flat and sturdy. It is a real prize. Just happy happy about this. I hope everyone gets one. If you don’t just fall in love with it immediately, you can write me and denounce me. Very confident about this one.
