My good friend, libertarian businessman Jack Criss (former libertarian radio talk show host in the 80s and 90s–his guests included Lew Rockwell, Murray Rothbard (see right), and many other notables), has just published the first issue of his new magazine, Profiles Mississippi. The
has interesting interviews with free-market economist
and conservative thinker
, plus Jack’s op-ed, “
.”
By the way, I previously blogged about Jack’s book, Ready, Aim, Right!, which collects his best columns over the last 15 years, published in various Mississippi business publications (in addition to Amazon, it can also be ordered here).

Thanks, Stephan. I grew up in Jackson, MS, and used to listen to Jack Criss on WJNT when I was in high school and college; right about the time I found Ayn Rand and libertarianism. His show was great, but I hadn’t thought about him in years. Glad to hear he’s still at it.
I’ve never heard of Jack Criss but am interested now. Thanks for this post
I lived in Mississippi ’79-’83 but was not aware of Jack Criss or classical liberalism at that time. Two years later at Auburn I happened upon the Austrian economics and the Mises Institute.
Nevertheless I am always interested in these potencies, for instance, was this picture of Murray Rothbard and Jack Criss taken in Mississippi or where and in what year?
