She kept him clothed, fed, happy and productive. Truly, behind this great man was a great woman.
Thank you Mises Institute for reminding me (us) about the life of JoAnn Rothbard. What a powerful combination these two were!
Glad I stumbled upon this before the day was over. I got to know Joey during 1997 after expressing a sincere (but ultimately unrealistic) interest in writing the life of her husband, whom it was also my privilege to know for the last dozen years of his life. Over the course of several Saturdays, over lunch in a Manhattan coffee shop, she shared many stories and photos, lent me books and articles, and dropped on me more interview leads than I could follow up. The URL brings one to my Rothbard page, a poor token of my appreciation for their friendship.
