Thomas Friedman is back again, all facile posturing and sham profundity as he hops onto the latest bandwagon in search of royalties. But the merit of Hot, Flat, and Crowded, reviewed here, is that it neatly demonstrates that Green scaremongering appeals intensely to the inner authoritarian as well as to the wistful Military-Keynesian.

“…zeitgeist thermometer…” Brilliant!
Anyone who makes the claim that they understand what is wrong without admitting that the best way for information to flow (thereby resolving what is wrong) is by having an unhampered market economy, that person is a charlatan. Thomas Friedman is a charlatan.
It looks like Thomas is soliciting opinions on his site for his “18th Chapter”, which will be included in the second edition of Hot, Flat and Crowed.
