Rats: Reviews of Garrett novels not online

September 8, 2008 by

The new issue of Liberty runs a review of Harangue, Satan’s Bushel, and Cinder Buggy. Can’t be happier. But it is not live! Must read these. What are the editors thinking? Should have subscribed. Someone post a pirated version but don’t involve me.

Added: Ok, someone sent it to me. It is long. Ramsey covers not only the above but also The Driver and Bubble. He likes The Driver least and Harangue the most. He finds Bushel strange (it is!) and thinks Cinder is the most vivid. He echoes other reviewers in saying that Garrett is a bit ham handed on telling love stories (I can’t agree). In general, his plot summaries are far more competent than the ones I’ve produced. It is a wonderful review essay. Maybe Liberty will let Mises.org reprint it.
