Potential Student August 1, 2008 at 2:42 pm: A question: Would a recent undergraduate degree-recipient with aspirations toward graduate school, but who is planning on working for a year or two in order to finance his schooling, be eligible to attend the Mises University and would he qualify for the scholarships available to students?

I have listened to the classes from 2007 and portions of the incomplete sets from previous years. They are well worth the time. Concurrently, I was reading Rothbard’s, “Man Economy and State,” and the courses helped to cover some of the more difficult passages that depend, despite Rothbard’s heroic efforts, on some pre-existing economic background. Having no organized education in economics, I feel as if the Mises U courses have filled in the blanks where my self study of several years had been thin. I also can’t recommend enough the audio series of the Austrian Home Study Course. Just a great way to pass the time at my day job.

I’ve seen/listened to most everything that Mises.org has to offer since 2000 when I first discovered Mises.org.

Being neither historian, writer nor professional student, my interest is purely personal enjoyment and learning. I am thrilled at the depth of the seminars, and at the same time the engagement of the authors with their audiences and with the materials.

I have many, many times referred people to the media files here, to bolster arguments because the presentations are so excellent that they compel respect (if not outright agreement).

Rothbard might be called “Enemy of the State”, the Mises.org library is very much “Enemy of the Statist”!
