LOL What a stupid woman. Sad that politicians can’t handle the truth though. It seems they aren’t even taught basic econ anymore.
And the Fox reporter lets her off the hook saying she meant “nationalize”.

When will congress realize that THEY are the problem with our energy shortage? I have never seen a more “stupid” statement on national TV.
This is but a small glimpse at the whole thing, with the pace and effrontary of others like her increasing as we circle the bowl, directly into the sewer.
Has this character ever read the Constitution she swore to uphold? She would be a great candidate for the new Hazlitt book reprint.
Ah, the dirty word even in government circles, even as they try to attach their names to the great American tradition of capitalism.
However, I just wish an Oil exec would talk more about removing crippling taxation on them than talking about drilling elsewhere.

Given how wonderfully well other Federal programs have worked out, I eagerly await Uncle Sam Oil & Gas: as easy to understand and work with as the IRS and Social Security Administration, offering a product with the same enduring and endearing quality as government cheese, priced like a Pentagon hammer. All in all, we’d be better off with 40 acres and a mule*.

How nice of Congresswoman Waters to finally PUBLICLY reveal the agenda of the Democrat Party…one which some of us have been aware of for many years. One word…COMMUNISM.

Let’s see if they still cheer when we have gas lines. People seem to have forgotten Jimmy Carter’s 1980 election year pandering. Perhaps they need another round of windfall profits tax, price controls and gas lines to teach them a lesson (in economics).
Congress wants to impose windfall profits taxes on oil companies and pass anti-trusts laws against OPEC. The problem is that we buy most of our oil from Canada and Mexico. It is hard to see how Congress can stop OPEC from selling oil to China. Seizing dollars-based assets from OPEC countries as a fine for violating of a US law, will simply mean that OPEC will demand payment in gold or some other currency.
The only reason Hugo Chavez can offer cheap gas in Maxine Waters utopia is that Venezuela is self-sufficient. The US produces less than 40% of oil consumed in the US.
Wait until next year with B. Obama and a fillibuster proof demo congress, it’s going to be ugly!

Nationalization of Natural Resources in North America, (OIL)
It is now time for the current US Congress to draft a law that will authorize the use of the Armed Forces of America to seize control of all Oil reserves, assets, and property within the borders of the United States of America. Americans are suffering financially because of the profiteering that is being sanctioned by the current Congress. The very survival of America will depend on the controls and relief to the consumer. By controlling the oil and refining process, the final price to the consumer can drop back to levels in the two digit margin, i.e. 39 cents. It is now a matter of National Security that this happen within a very short period of time, or every American will suffer the financial burden of out of control price per gallon for fuel, thus driving up every consumer product and service beyond the affordable means of an average income American.
The American Republic will recommend that the current US Congress and President be held accountable for this “crime against Humanity” as well as numerous others.
It is time to fire the US Congress and President, now and in November, 2008. A new Republic for North America is underway.
We are a Legion of many, who will live a life of peace, and have respect for all living things, while having considerations for those who are different, and look for ways to truly accommodate those who are slow in understanding.
We support the poor, helpless, and defenseless people. We support the freedom of Women, we support the sane treatment of animals and the environment, we support the freedom of religion and expression. We do not support ignorance, period.
