Famed Economist Enters Cliburn Contest

May 1, 2008 by

Robert Ekelund, famed economist and Austrian fellow traveler, has entered the Van Cliburn Amateur contest on Youtube. Here is his video. He is playing the Bosendorfer at the offices of the Mises Institute. You can also buy his book or…his CD.

I’ve noticed that people who are truly “accomplished” are rarely accomplished at only one thing.

Beautiful music, Mr. Ekelund. Thank you.

Bravo!

I was so impressed by the beautiful piano and its distinguished placement in interiorscape of the Ludwig von Mises Institute. It is a touch of class and a flavor of Vienna and I am sure that any of the visitors to the Institute who love to play the piano are thrilled by the experience.

Good luck in the contest Dr. Ekelund!
