The Story of an Upgrade

March 25, 2008 by

In light of the wonderful upgrade of the last few days, I just re-read this article from 2004. Wow, it holds up. Those were the bad old days. Today, on the other hand, is a wonderful day.

“And now, forget about the technical side, and spend time on Mises.org, and see how economics can be as elegant as dance, as beautiful as a symphony, and as inevitable as the sunrise.”

Well said Jeff, I’ll drink to that.

I distinctly remember that piece, hard to believe it was that long ago though! ;-)

As a Linux geek, I remember when Mises.org transcended Microsoft. By Cromm, that has been a while.

Eliminating graphics is a really good idea, since text is so much more efficiently stored and transmitted.

But … but … esthetics are personal. I prefer what the site looked like last year. Such is life.

With some articles there is still the problem of a zero left margin which is uncomfortable to read. Is there a way to make the format uniform and pleasant to read?

You’re the one who does all this Jeff?

It’s a nice job.
