A Personal Note on Lew

I just heard from Lew Rockwell and he made it out of surgery just fine. He had serious surgery done on the back of his eye, not super dangerous but quite harrowing. It took a good part of the day yesterday. Apparently it will be a month or so before we know how much good it did and what the prospects are. But the important thing is that he is feeling fine and recovering. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.

Well, this is a complete surprise! I leave town for a few days, and when I log back onto my homepage (natch, LewRockwell.com is my homepage) I find our Mentor has been under the knife!

Just learned of your recent surgery, Lew. Just as Jeff put it, my thoughts and prayers are with you, for a speedy and complete — or at least good enough — recovery.

By the way, it was just one eye, correct? You know the story of Odin, don’t you? How he exchanged one of his eyes for wisdom? The comparison seems rather apt, if pagan-blasphemous.
