Hungary for Hoppe

October 3, 2007 by

The latest addition to the growing number of foreign translations of Hans-Hermann Hoppe’s Austrian and libertarian writings (translations into more than twenty languages to dateed) is a Hungarian translation of the Introduction and Chapter 1 of Democracy: The God that Failed, by Váradi István: Demokrácia, a bukott bálvány: A monarchia, a demokrácia és a természetes rend gazdaságtana és politikája. Also present in Hungarian is Natural Elites, Intellectuals, and the State (A természetes elit, az értelmiség és az állam).

But why has Hoppe been threatening the translators with violence if they don’t pay him royalties? [/gets deleted]

Because he reserved the right to do so when he agreed to provide the product of his work to others.

Don’t know, sounds fishy to me. Of course, I’ve never seen his position on intellectual property.
