Advance your clocks just 5 years … Can you even imagine the punishment if the cook had exceeded New York City’s half-gram limit for artificial trans fat? The scoundrel would be heading to the gallows.

Maybe he’d even get the pyre in an ironic twist of fate.

It would have been ironic if the cop was served a salty McRib…

A salting a police officer?

Any lawyer worth his salt should be able to make mincemeat out of the cop-and-bull story! Just sweat it out of them! A gentle grilling, of course.

Even though the policeman was over the top in what he did with his “authority”, don’t forget that she really did deserve something harsh for something as horrible as that. Her relying on her manager doesn’t excuse her for spoiling the food like that and passing it off on the unsuspecting public.

Maybe instead of charging her with “wreckless conduct,” they should up the ante with the felony charge of “a salt”.

Someday I’ll open a libertarian pub. It shall be known as the “Oversalted Trans-Fat Foie Gras Dude Process”. Stated policy will be “2 drink minimum, 1 petulant frenzy maximum per gummint official”. Will I get any customers?

She’s lucky she wasn’t charged with attempted murder. Consider the woman from Corpus Christi rescently convicted of 1st degree murder in the death of foster child by “Cajun spices”:

Well Buster, for the right price Governor Perry will pardon her. For the right price Perry will do anything (such as force unneeded vaccinations on small children).

That story about the burger having too much salt reminded me of the incompetent and arrogant cops in the comedy “Super Troopers” — of particular interest is the hamburger scene.

My mom used to say that the ultimate objective of the government is to make everyone a criminal. I used to think she was nuts…

First of all, I was under the impression that in order to maintain uniformity, McDonalds used preseasoned, frozen patties.

Secondly, I know that once you achieve the rank of Crew Chief, they send you (I’m not kidding) to Hamburger College. I suspect that someone’s diploma is going to be yanked. :)

As for the way the case was handled, it should be a civil case at best. At any rate, just because the hamburger meat didn’t make the employee ill, it was wrong to assume that it would not cause serious harm to someone else who might have had high blood pressure. I had a friend with Lupus who was so sensitive to the effects of sodium that he would have ischemic attacks and wake up in the hospital.
