WorldNetDaily.com is reporting that the House has passed a bill that appears to allow strip searches of public school students in order to “ensure that classrooms, school buildings, school property and students remain free from the threat of all weapons, dangerous materials, or illegal narcotics.” I guess one shouldn’t be shocked that the inmates might end up subjected to unconstitutional searches.

Looks like this thing passed under “suspension of the rules” which means they never even bothered with making a committee report. Being the nasty little bill it is, I am not suprised that nobody wants to go on the official record as supporting it.
It will probably get quietly passed by the Senate while they are doing their unanimous consent agenda.
This is a good day if you’re a pedophile or child molester working in the school system. Congress has just handed you a hall pass to sexually assault children at-will. Heck, even if you’re not a pedophile you can join in on the fun!
What constitutional rights? Until you reach the agent of majority (and are emancipated by the State), you don’t have any constitutional rights. Minors are at the complete mercy of the Government, and it is only by condescension of the legislature that parents have any say in their child’s welfare. This is why the school is allowed to search school lockers, use drug dogs, metal detectors, and so on without a warrant or probable cause. The supreme court has ruled consistently that minor children have no rights. I am not saying it is appopriate, but it is the reality.
For heaven’s sake, if you have children in public school, TAKE THEM OUT NOW.
I think that inmates be allowed in the school system to work but they should also be strip searched. Especially if the kids in that school system are under strict security procedures.
