Great New Stuff: Backpack, License Frames, Liberty Bands

August 22, 2005 by

This high-quality canvas backpack is designed for the student who wants to make a provocative statement on behalf of freedom. It features the words of Ludwig von Mises: “Government is the negation of liberty.” And it shows where other students (and professors!) can go to learn more about why this is true: Mises.org.

With this backpack you can use every opportunity to make a statement about your perspective on the full range of economic and social issues. You become a walking editorial on behalf of civilization. Backpack: $25

By spreading the Misesian ideals wherever you drive, this sleek license plate frame can do a world of good! It carries the lifetime motto of Ludwig von Mises, as taken from Virgil, “Tu ne cede malis,” or do not give in to evil (Virgil continues: “but proceed ever more boldy against it!”).

People might wonder what that means, but it includes the name of the web’s home for liberty, Mises.org. So those who see it know where to go–if only out of intense curiousity! Made of tough plastic, and easy to install, this item makes a bold statement on your beliefs, and encourages the world to join the struggle. License frame: $5

They are often called “power bands” but since the purpose of these is to make a statement on behalf of Misesian ideals, we call them liberty bands. They are also called “Awareness bracelets” and often carry the slogan of some fashionable (and sometimes statist) cause.

These are completely different. They carry the lifetime motto of Ludwig von Mises. The other side includes the name of the web’s site for liberty, Mises.org. They are made from silicone, stronger than the rubber type you find around, and are made to fit most any wrist. Liberty Bands: $3

It is kind of sad to see all of the nice things that Mr Rockwell and the Mises Institute do and policy never changes.

very true.

But then, it serves well as a reminder to “proceed ever more boldly” against evil.

The backpack is dope.

And “dope” is a good thing, right? Just making sure. The backpack is indeed great. There is a new image online showing its size. By the way, any of this neat stuff can be reviewed on each page in the store.

It is July 22, 2008 and I would be very interested to hear an updated analysis on oil price trends and market conditions, give that today crude is running at $131/barrel and I’m trying to decide whether to fill my oil tanks now or hold off hoping there is a dip in the prices before what I believe is an inevitable spike that’s coming for the winter heating season.
