Today I was interviewing freelance writers for my organization. One candidate made this amusing (and unprompted) disclosure about him and his colleague: “By the way, I’m a Rothbardian and she’s a Hayekian. Is that okay?” Luckily for him, we maintain a Swiss-like neutrality towards most libertarian factions.
I did think, however, that having libertarians declare their factional allegiance would make a fun question on the census. I wonder how many Hayekians there are in Cleveland.
CORRECTION: My recollection was backwards, according to the writer. He’s the Hayekian and she’s the Rothbardian.
