Windows Media Player 9 can’t play this file – tells me file is corrupt or my pc can’t support the format (it can)… any techies out there who can give me some guidance would be much appreciated…
I’m sorry that the video feed has been dropped for all of Wednesday and, as far as I can tell, the rest of the week. Seeing body language communicates another layer of information that just the voice doesn’t.
Will these lectures be archived (made available for download) later, at least in audio form? Some of us are supposed to be working!
But even if not, thanks so much for broadcasting these talks live! It’s wonderful. You guys are the best on every level — from economic theory to running a web site!!
Yes, tons of complaints about this but the conference moves from plenary lectures to individual sessions, and simultaneous dual audio feeds (now available from the front page) seemed more viable, given staff and equipment shortages. Remember that our capacity for doing any of this is only about a week old and we are struggling to keep up with the demand. Many people have commented that the quality of both audio and video surpasses anything they have seen, and that pleases us very much. We are still in the early stages of what is being called in house MBC for Mises Broadcasting Corp. All in fun.
I have two complaints: (1) Can’t you broadcast it live at a better time of day? It’s about 1am in Sydney. And, (2) I have trouble comprehending two live lectures at once. Maybe I’m just too tired?
Seriously though, this is great stuff you guys are doing. Well done. Thanks a heap!
Awesome streaming. I’m a producer and can attest that the quality is very good on my end with a Mac and Windows Media Player. Streaming video on the net is without a doubt the future of the industry so MBC is a leg up on the competition!
I have been captivated by the live presentations. In Montana, we have little opportunity to participate in the grand scheme of Austrianism in any other way. We are looking forward to more.

This is a great thing! I watched a lecture live, thank you for making this available.

Jonathan,
I think that that is the normal reply when there is no live feed to be seen. I’m having good luck with WMP9 when there is a live feed available.

Thank you Don.

Hope there’s a good reason…
Curt-

Jeffrey,
FYI,
Although I had excellent results with the live video feeds, I have had no luck connecting at all with the live audio feeds.

I’ve been getting an almost unbuffered quality stream here in China. Thanks a lot.
May I suggest a Mises.org weekly talk show?
