Am I right that Greaves’ book on Pearl Harbor and the book by Schulak and Unterkofler (on the Austrian school) are not in the online store? Or am I not looking close enough?

Jeffrey Tucker March 9, 2010 at 5:36 pm

That is still in production. Translation issues. Look for it in September.

Jonathan Finegold Catalán March 9, 2010 at 1:26 pm

The book on Pearl Harbor and Salerno’s book on sound money are certainly titles I will be investing into. Beefcake, those books are upcoming.

You’re right; I’m sorry, I didn’t read the catalog carefully enough. Also, Ralph Raico’s book should be coming out soon, yes?

Paul Vahur March 9, 2010 at 5:11 pm

Why isn’t the “Economics in one lesson” available as a free audio book in the media section?

Jeffrey Tucker March 9, 2010 at 5:35 pm

Because it is held up IP. The IP issues on this book are unbelievable.

Paul Vahur March 9, 2010 at 5:51 pm

Figured so, the price is still reasonable. Are shipping prices to overseas still high? Any hope of getting them lower?

I see that Rothbard’s “Economic Controversies” is almost ready for release; it will probably be a big seller. The upcoming book on the British Empire also looks quite interesting.

MB March 9, 2010 at 5:47 pm

Finally!!! I’ve been looking forward to it since I read about it in “Essential Rothbard” a couple of years ago…

MB March 9, 2010 at 5:55 pm

More comments.

The catalog lists Human Action for $20 when the on-line catalog says $25.

going to have to go thru this catalog and market what I want and what I have (or don’t need).

Jeffrey Tucker March 9, 2010 at 6:32 pm

yikes ! typo alert. We are already being killed on this book.

Jeffrey Tucker March 9, 2010 at 10:58 pm

and yet it is done. we’ll knock it down again tomorrow. all for a good cause…

Mike March 9, 2010 at 7:27 pm

Any hopes of getting Rothbard’s Logic of Action released?

Also, I’ve been reading a lot of Hoppe and he cites an earlier work of his a lot: Eigentum, Anarchie und Staat. Are there any plans for an English translation of it?

MB March 9, 2010 at 7:33 pm

FYI- Rothbard’s “Economic Controveries” IS Logic of Action in a single volume!!!

Mike March 9, 2010 at 7:42 pm

Great news! I’m sure it will be a fraction of the price of what either volume of the Logic of Action sells for now.

MB March 9, 2010 at 10:07 pm

I just checked my copy of “Essential Rothbard”. Both volumes of “Logic of Action” were to be reprinted & expanded as “Economic Controversies” by the LvMI back in 2007.

Jeffrey Tucker March 9, 2010 at 10:56 pm

yep. desperately behind on this one, to say the least, but it is coming.

MB March 9, 2010 at 10:09 pm

I’ve been looking thru the catalog. What is this volume by Rothbard “Left, Right, and the Prospects of Liberty”? I checked the “Essential Rothbard” and it doesn’t seem to be a reprint of a prior volume. Is this a new collection of stuff??

Xavier Méra March 9, 2010 at 10:44 pm

This is the journal edited by Rothbard in 65-68. See here: http://mises.org/journals/left-right.asp

MB March 10, 2010 at 2:32 pm

No. You are confusing it with “Left & Right”. I knew it wasn’t that journal, as the Institute already has that reprinted.

Jeffrey Tucker March 9, 2010 at 10:55 pm

This is a monograph soon to be in print. You can find the essay all over the site.

MB March 10, 2010 at 2:33 pm

It sounded familiar, but wanted to know where it appeared and if it was in another collection. I don’t mind you guys putting out essays in their own pamphlet. I just don’t want to buy them if I already have them in another form/collection.

MB March 11, 2010 at 4:52 pm

Ah, found it in another search of the “Essential Rothbard”.

This essay is collected in “Left & Right” AND in “Egalitarianism as a Revolt Against Nature”. As I have ERAN, I won’t be getting this essay.
