Congratulations to Peter Klein whose 2008 paper, “Opportunity Discovery, Entrepreneurial Action, and Economic Organization,” was named by Wiley-Blackwell as the mostly-highly-read paper for 2009 in the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. The paper offers an Austrian critique of the opportunity-discovery perspective in the academic entrepreneurship literature and suggests an alternative approach based on Mises’s and Frank Knight’s theory of profit and loss and the Austrian understanding of capital heterogeneity. More evidence that Austrian ideas are having an impact on mainstream scholarship in economics and management.

Congratulations to Peter Klein, Entrepreneurship is one of the most exciting areas of Austrian analysis, an area which is overlooked by the mainstream economics profession.
AE is not just rational economics, it is also practical economics.
