Ekelund in the Cliburn Competition

Our friend Professor Robert Ekelund (professor of economics, not music) is moving up in a very strong way in the Youtube Cliburn competition. Ekelund’s first public recording was actually produced and distributed by the Mises Institute.

Here is his entry for those who haven’t seen it.

How wonderful!

While I was at Auburn Professor Ekelund was gone to Florida so I never met him. That was my loss.

The serene setting of the Ludwig von Mises Institute was the perfect place for this recital and the Institute’s piano is truly magnificent.
