A new album by a Misesian is out, by a band called V.O.N. – Value of Nonaggression. Some of the titles begin with our own Human Action audio tapes. The titles of songs are funny: “The Division of Labor,” “Take That, Atavistic Luddites!,” “Ode to the Industrialist.”
Implausibly for a fan of Josquin and Tallis, I actually enjoyed this album.

You can’t help but love Austro-libertarianism, in all its varied forms.
I say the best song title has to be “Death to the State.”
That sounds like the dorkiest album ever. And not in the good, “we’re so dorky it’s actually cool” way. In the bad, “Austrians can rock too we swear!” way.
I like it! Thanks for the notice, Jeffery.
V.O.N.’s album would be more accurately described as an album of instrumental electronica dedicated to Austrian econ. It’s… O.K.

….nahhh, too ethereal. “I’ve Got A Love-a-lee Bunch Of Axioms” lays down the beat, man!
This is IDM, people. Its very specialized sub-genre music aimed at a very VERY tiny section of the population. Its good that this guy is out there. I’ve long listened to this sort of music, noise and other industrial stuff, and had to put up with hard leftist/totalitarian/socialist titles and lyrics. Just google the “band” Winterkalte. Check out his song titles and tell me why “Do Not Vote For Industry!” and “GreenWar” are less dorky/more legit than “Take That, Atavistic Luddites!”
Cheers to VON. Loading into the iPod shortly =)
Considering Mises Institute boasts of having the maximum number of programmers than any other school of economics when are we having our own flavor of linux?
@ Renegade Division
Wow!! Now *that* is a great idea! Maybe an Ubuntu based Mises distribution?
Horrible, Sounds like bad music for a video game. I think we should leave music up to the musicians.
