I’m quite happy with my 1st edition regular Mises tie, but I confess that I’ve been drooling for one of those bowties for a long time… That’s the rothbardian in me, I suppose!

Yes, mano is hand in French. Mono is One in Latin. One to One or One on One is still correct. I’m in California, and Latin, not French, rules this neck of the woods!

As for “one” in Latin, it is either unus, una or unum if I remember it correctly…
Whereas “mono-” is a prefix that comes from ancient Greek & does indeed mean “one”

“mano a mano” is actually italian (hand-to-hand, as in combat).
“mono a mono” would be monkey-to-monkey in spanish. maybe this is what you meant.

“keynesian austrians” – don’t you love it? that’s what drinking the monetary equilibrium brew does to you. but then the general gist of the gmu camp is that a little deflation is not problematic, but a lot is catastrophic! so it’s not surprising that they may be sympathetic to a little inflation. it’ll be fun to wait for the gmu formula that determines the point of inflexion, where the good inflation (yay!) becomes the bad inflation (hiss!).
