Brand new torrents containing all the content on Mises.org are now available for download, as part of the continuous effort to open-source Mises.org. (Content on Mises.org is available under the Creative Commons license to redistribute and republish anywhere.)
The people behind the Mises Institute are doing their best to produce great content – now it is up to you to spread the message of liberty, property, and peace around the world – to immortalize the idea of freedom, beyond the ability of anyone to silence them.
Download the multimedia archives (80GB), books (7GB), journals (2.3GB), PDFs (290MB), the Mises Blog (1GB), ReasonPapers (1.5 GB), and LibertarianPapers (10MB). (The torrents are quite large, but most bittorent clients will let you download specific files in the torrent, if you don’t want to download everything.)
If you downloaded an old torrent, remove the ,torrent file and download the new one to the same location to update your files to the latest version.
You will need a bittorrent client if you don’t already have one. For Windows, get uTorrent or Vuze for Mac/Windows.

If you’re running Mac OS X or Linux, “Transmission” is the best, free BitTorrent client you can get:

Great idea and I’m sure there are quite a few of us who would be willing to seed what we can manage (which is considerably less than 80 gb in my case).
Does the blog torrent include the daily articles?

No, for database download information, see http://mises.org/Community/wikis/ideas/mises-org-access-information.aspx
Holy crap, it gets better everyday! Great job, guys!
Oh, brilliant. Thanks a lot.
Awesome, but what happens when new content is added? Will everyone have to download a new torrent when, say, Rothbard Graduate Seminar 2009 is added? Or would it not be better to have seperate torrents for each category/event?
Check http://mises.org/services/torrents/LibertarianPapers%202009.torrent with http://www.avast.com/, pls! It says there is malware in file p-1-20.doc.
I’m seeding everything save the multimedia torrent on a 100/100mbit server now. Everyone should have speedy access.
brilliant innovation!
yay!
Torrents are bloody fantastic. Good job on the constant innovation.
For those searching for the best protocol, uTorrent has been mine of choice for years.
> would it not be better to have seperate torrents for each category/event?
Yes, it would be, but I don’t have time to do that.

Yes, but you can overwrite your existing copy to just download the new content. (The ease of doing this depends on your bittorrent client.)
It says there is malware in file p-1-20.doc.
Avast Corporation received bailout from the TARP funding, and its shares are owned by Paul Krugman and Rahm Emmanuel. So no wonder that it flags Libertarian Papers files as being infected.
I’ve already seeded 21GB of the Books torrent! Very popular.
David, for the next incarnation of these torrents could you add the following to the tracker list:
http://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce
udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce
You can read more about the project here: http://openbittorrent.com/. It’s certainly something LvMI would be supportive of.
Yes, it would be, but I don’t have time to do that.
Why does it take your time? Automate: write a script to make a torrent whenever you upload a new file.
Great! All content is under a CC license? Can I, for example, translate any of the books in the “Literature” section?
All the content is licensed CC unless stated otherwise.
Hi, after reading some Blogs re TPB having problems I wondered
what those people were doing about sharing besides posting comments like,
‘RIP Pirate Bay’, and ‘what a pity’. Sharing is simple. I’m sharing Torrents
at http://www.3lkfm.com/ [ and near 1TB of files ] using simply Java & HTML,
and I know little to nothing of code. There are many open source progs out there to do this. It’s not magic.
Collect Torrents while you can and feed them!
Don’t just talk.
Cheers. earthcam@msn.com
this doesn’t seem to have any seeds anymore. anyone
have same problem?
Another New, unindexed yet Free Torrent site to watch.
Keeping it FREE. Upload Driven.
thank you for giving out new resources and supporting the community!
The book resource is missing some sources. I believe none of Thomas Wood’s material is in there, nor is Hans-Hoppe’s Democracy work
This is because both are IP protected – believe me, this is not the Mises Institute’s choice.
This is great! Very helpful! I’m getting them now; if anyone could, some more seeders would be very nice. I can seed for awhile after I download them, also.
Please seed! =)
Thanks for the seeding! Keep it up and running. This is going to take a while. As it stands, I’ve got one seeder. What a trooper!
We need seeders!
I have successfully downloaded the journals, books, and PDFs, but I can seem to seed them. Any ideas on how I can help with this?
These torrent links are dead. 404. Any chance of getting them fixed so I can download them?
You can see the latest torrents here: http://mises.org/services/torrents/
