Those are big fishing poles … what the heck would they be fishing for?

Greg, I believe they are fishing for trout in a manner referred to as “dapping”

It isn’t a common technique in the US at least as far as I know.
Man On Right: “Menger, you’ll never catch any trout with a fishing pole that long.”
